5 TV SHOWS I WATCHED THIS SUMMER

I know it’s kind of late, since we’re somewhat closer to winter than to summer but I wanted to share with you the TV series I watched this summer (Summer I spent doing this, mostly…)

1. Futurama

I’m not going to lie to you, at first I had no idea how could anyone watch this… I couldn’t really understand the idea behind it… But in the end I kinda fell for it and I when it ended I was kinda sad. Bender was, obviously, my favorite character. So if anyone was thinking to watch this but didn’t yet, do it! You’ll like it. And if anyone says it sucks… well… I’ll just quote Bender here: “Bite my shiny metal ass!”

2. The 100

I already made a separate post about it here. This is currently one of my favorite shows. I like it so much that I basically watched the first two seasons in two days (because I have no life)

3. 30 Rock

I know, I know… I’m a little late since the show ended some time ago. But I haven’t had the chance to watch it until now. And again, I’ll be honest… I didn’t like it at first, but my friend kept telling me to keep watching it, so I did. And it grew on me. I mean Tina Fey is freaking brilliant. Actually, the whole cast is brilliant and you can’t help but fall in love with all of them.

4. Chicago Fire

I found this by chance while browsing the channels on my TV and I watched one of those episodes that really hit you in the heart and you can’t stop crying… So obviously I had to check it out! And now I’m telling you that you have to check it out. This show is so good that now there are even spin-offs like Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med. You have to see it!

P.S. This is one of my favorite moments in the show!

5. Sleepy Hollow

This. Is. Brilliant. I don’t how people come up with this stuff. You have to check this out. Even if you don’t like fantasy TV series, you should at least check it out for the main characters since the actors do a pretty amazing portraying them. And some moments are just hilarious!

These are only a few of the TV shows I watched (or began to watch) this summer… Don’t even make me start about the TV shows I’m behind with… The list is endless.

Anyway, what TV shows do you watch?

Wow, I haven’t seen any of those 😛 And I watch way too many shows as it is…

Some of my favourite ongoing shows are Gotham, Sherlock, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, and Game of Thrones. But there are many more. Sometimes I find myself surprised that I actually still manage to have a very engaging social life as well 😛

You should see the rest of my list… Of the ones you mentioned I’ve only seen Sherlock and Supernatural. The others ones are on my ‘to watch’ list. How do you manage to watch tons of TV shows and also have a social life? TEACH ME MASTER! Haha 😀

I would tell you if I knew!! If just sort of happens…

Since you said you liked superhero movies, Gotham is a real treat! It does not have much to do with superheros persé, but they have introduced some awesome villains.

Flash and Arrow are a lot of fun in their own way! But they have a lot of crossovers so you have to watch them at the same time, otherwise you will end up with Felicity spoiling everything that happens (regardless which series you are watching).

And my little sister forced me to watch the pilot of Lucifer. I’m not sold yet, but I’ll probably give it a try.

Good to know. In Chicago Fire there are crossovers as well but the shows still stand on their own without giving too much away about the other ones. I haven’t watched any episodes from Lucifer yet, I’ve only seen the trailer but it seems good. Is there any TV show that is your favorite?

Favourite TV show? That’s a tough one. Probably Band of Brothers, which is odd because I normally do not care much for war stories. House M.D. is a close runner up.

        What about you?

It’s really hard to choose just one… El Internado Laguna Negra, which is a Spanish TV show is the first TV show I ever watched. (followed by Heroes) So of course it is among my favorites. Others would be The Office (which I’m considering to watch again), Friends and The Newsroom I think…

If you like The Office you might also like Parks and Recreation, they often get compared to each other. And Heroes now has a new series called Heroes Reborn. I haven’t seen it yet, but I hope it’s going to be good.

I watched Parks and Rec and I loved it!!! And I’m planning on watching Heroes Reborn as well as soon as I get the chance. I was sooo excited when I heard they’re bringing Heroes back, even though I’m not sure I’ll like it as much as the first series.

I was actually sad when Parks & Rec ended! It is also the way I got introduced to Chris Pratt, and that weirdly has had the effect that every time I see him in a movie I just think it’s Andy dreaming about some crazy adventure.

Heroes Reborn is going to be weird. I think Noah Bennet is the only main character from the previous series. I wonder what new powers the other characters will get.

I have the same feeling about Chris Pratt as well. He’s still Andy to me. To be honest might’ve been the only character in the show I didn’t really like so it’ll be interesting to see him again. Haha

It would be cool if Hiro Nakamura, Matt Parkman, or Sylar would return. I liked all of them, but those three are definitely my favourite.

I have to be honest my favorites back then were Claire and Peter Petrelli, but right now I would love to see Sylar again 😀 I feel like Hiro Nakamura (even though I liked him) caused more trouble, rather than fixing things.

That is, as long as they don’t blow themselves up 😛 I mean, Peter had no control and Sylar had an insatiable desire to cut open people’s heads. Getting every power is awesome, but I would rather have something a bit more… stable.
