I’ve had this film on my “To Watch List” for a while now and I finally got around to seeing it. The reasons why I wanted to see it in the first place were John Krasinki and Maya Rudolph. I’ve seen them on The Office and SNL and love them so it was interesting to see them somewhere else.
Away We Go tells the story of a 30 something years old couple who expect their first child and go on a journey around America to find the perfect home to raise their family.
To be honest I loved this movie. It was like a breath of fresh air. What I mean by this is that it wasn’t one of those cliché films with the perfectly happy family, with their lives put together, ecstatic for the arrival of their child. It showed me to people can be in their 30’s, expecting a baby and not having a plan or a place to call home for that matter. And that’s okay. It’s totally okay.
