Midnight in Paris – A Movie That Will Take You Back in Time

Midnight in Paris is one of my all time favourite movies. I first watched it back in 2011 when it first appeared and I fell in love with it. Today I watched it again and I still found it as amazing as the first time.

I love everything about this movie: the music, the characters, the actors, the decor, the scenery. Everything is so beautiful and magical that it makes you fall in love with the life back then and even life now.

I’ve been to Paris before and the way the film portrays it, does it justice. The intro of the movie it’s just perfect. All those shots from around Paris and the music just make you feel like you’re a part of the magic that Paris possesses.

If you like the literature and art or just the atmosphere of the 20’s you will find this movie perfect to  have a taste of that era.

If you are not at all familiar with this film here’s a little synopsis of it. Midnight in Paris tells the story of an American writer, Gil Pender, who is in Paris with his fiance. As one night strolls on the street of Paris, he is took back to the 20’s, when a car stops and he gets in. On his adventure he meets The Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Ernest Hemingway and many others.

I’ll stop here and let you find the rest of the story.

I could go on and on about why this movie is so extraordinary, but I will just say this. If you want to see a wonderful movie, with great actors (Marion Cotillard is incredible in it), spectacular decor and costumes and good music, this is a film you should see.

One of my favourite movies of all time! I was quite sceptical when I originally saw Owen Wilson as the protagonist but after moments it became a strong top 5. The only issue is, as general consensus, my friends and family don’t like it…
Great blog, looking forward to reading more!
